As I’ve be proper an adult, I’ve come to realize how expensive life is. Man, did I take for granted how much my parents did for me when I was growing up. Having to pay for your own house, car stuff, groceries, household items, move expenses… And... Coffee, for example. We have a keurig coffee maker and it ends up being a heck of a lot less expensive to either (a) buy the Kroger brand k-cups or (b) to invest in one of those things that you can put your own coffee grounds into and make your own k-cup vs. buying... I rapture you, Caribou Coffee. You’re my weekend treat. Another thing that I’ve realized is super expensive is razors. Holy cow… When Price adds razors to the grocery list, I’m newly astounded with each new junket to the razor section when I see the price of those things. That’s why Dollar Shave Club is a good idea… You could save like a hundred bucks if you sign up for one of their price programs. (My dad loves his Dollar Shave Club membership and I’m planning on getting us on board here shortly, too, once we’re established at the new address. That got me to thinking how much I would affection to have an extra hundy to use as I wish… There are multiple ways I would spend it…. (1) I’d get these shoes from Arco Avenue that I’m so totally in love with (that actually come in my size. This is not an familiar thing for me, folks. #tallgirlproblems) They would go with so much in my Spring/Summer wardrobe… I’ve already put like 5 looks together in my head with these babies. (2) Load up on Bark Thins. And then I gave up confectionery for lent and have reeeeeally been having to pray each time I think about reaching for the bag that’s in our candy drawer. (And yes, we have an entire drawer devoted to candy. Which I really am unquestioningly thinking about. (4) I would pay for as many people as the $100 would cover in the line behind me at Chick-Fil-A. I’ve always wanted to do that, but then when it comes down to it, I either forget, or I talk myself out of it. Like if I see a Suburban behind me, I believe, “What if an entire soccer team is loaded up in that thing and they just came from practice... ” But I recently learned that I should not think like that and just think about how someone’s day would be so made if I did that. That happened at the same time for me at Starbucks and I truly still think about it every time I go through the drive thru at The Buck. How would you spend an extra hundred bucks if you just had it laying roughly. I’d love to hear. >> Thanks to Dollar Shave Club for inspiring this post.
